Food and drinks are not permitted in the planetarium or exhibit area.
No pets, except guide dogs, are allowed in Fernbank Science Center.
The facility does not have a gift shop or cafeteria to purchase food. Click here for information about local restaurants.

Planetarium Admission
$10.00 for adults
$5.00 for students (college students must present student ID)
$5 for seniors
There is no charge for DeKalb County School employees and ASTC Passport members. Proper identification is required.
Tickets for the public planetarium programs can be purchased at the reception desk ~30 minutes before the start of each show. All major credit cards are accepted. More Information>>
Planetarium programs begin promptly as scheduled. Please use the rest rooms, before entering the show. For safety reasons and because the planetarium will be dark, re-admittance to the planetarium will not be allowed.
School Groups
Schools (outside of the DeKalb County School District) planning to attend a planetarium program should contact the scheduler, Audrey Poole, between the hours of 8:00 AM-10:00 AM and 2:00-4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

During the summer (end of May through the beginning of August) we ask that groups larger than 50 contact our scheduler at 678-874-7113. If your group is smaller than 50, then you do not need to contact the scheduler. Group discounts do not apply during the summer months.

Classrooms and labs are for educational purposes and are not available for parties.
Use of the on-site picnic tables is on a first-come, first-served basis and they cannot be reserved. Please have all trash and other materials removed from the picnic tables 1/2 hour before closing time. Thank you for your cooperation.
Due to limited space, groups larger than 30 are asked to consider using local parks for picnic lunches.
We ask our visitors to assist us in maintaining our clean and beautiful surroundings. Please put all waste material and recycling in the appropriate receptacle.
