Two Small Pieces of Glass follows two students as they interact with a female astronomer at a local star party. Along the way, the students learn the history of the telescope from Galileo’s modifications to a child’s spyglass — using two small pieces of glass — to the launch of the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope and the future of astronomy.

Tickets for regular planetarium programs must be purchased in-person. Tickets go on sale at the front desk approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled program. All major credit cards are accepted.
Free planetarium tickets are available for DCSD employees (with ID). Discounts for military personnel, ASTC Passport Members and college students are also available at the door with proper ID.
