Habitat In the eastern U.S., House Finches are most often found in urban and suburban environments. In fact, it is found almost exclusively in areas where buildings and lawns are present. It is also found in the open desert, desert grassland, chaparral, and open coniferous forests in the western U.S. Status The House is a common permanent resident in the Atlanta Metro area and is a common visitor to bird feeders. |
