  • Bold white stripe over eye
  • Rusty upper parts
  • White throat and buffy under parts

Habitat

Carolina Wrens prefer habitats with dense shrub or bushy cover. They can be found along streams (riparian), near swamps, in thickets, shrubbery, undergrowth, forests, and suburban gardens among other places. They prefer moist habitats over dry ones.

The Carolina Wren is an abundant permanent resident of the Atlanta area
