Description
- Long slender body, long neck
- Yellowish-white underparts
- Black tip on tail
- No whitish line down inside of hind leg
Habits
Mostly nocturnal, but is also active during the day. Can clime trees but
spends the majority of its time on the ground. Feeds mostly on small mammals
up to rabbit size; and also takes a few birds and other animals; kills
by piercing the skull with its canine teeth. Usually nests in old burrows
of other animals, and sometimes under wood or rock piles.
Habitat
It is found in all land habitats close to water.
