DeKalb County School System’s Fernbank Science Center and the DeKalb County Parent Resource Centers are pleased to partner in the Summer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Aerospace Academy (SEMAA) outreach program for 2010. SEMAA is an innovative national program funded through NASA. The program is designed specifically to reach K-12 students who are traditionally underrepresented in careers involving science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
This year the summer program will be held at Cedar Grove Middle School during the week of July 12-16, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The targeted students will have completed grades K through 11 at the end of the regular school year. Selection is first come/first served until our maximum limit is reached. You will need to provide transportation for your child to and from the school each day and a healthy mid-day snack. There is no fee for participation. Download the full brochure.

The application window for SEMAA Summer 2010 has closed. You will be notified of acceptance via email, on or before May 15, 2010.
