Aerospace Education Laboratory (AEL)

Fernbank's Aeronautics Education Laboratory (AEL) was funded through a grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) with additional support from local foundations and corprations. While the AEL is available for other programs, its primary function is to support NASA-funded programs directed at introducing traditionally underserved and underrepresented students to the excitement of aeronautics, technology and space-related carreers.

Modeled after NASA's highly successful Mobile Aeronautics Education Laboratory (MAEL), Fernbank's AEL contains a series of stations at which students can participate in computer enhanced activiities related to aeronautics.
